Hunger Games Memorial Feast: Part 1

Friday had finally come around. Today was the of the Hunger Games Memorial Feast. Mom was getting really stressed out. I was sitting in the living room of the Training Center reading with my dad, and brother Cinna when it happened...
"PEETA! GET YOURSELF OVER HERE NOW!" Mom screamed from her bedroom.
"Oh the lovely sound of my wife's voice." Dad rolled his eyes setting his book down, "Coming! Whats the matter?"
"WHATS THE MATTER!? YOU'RE ASKING ME WHATS THE MATTER! LOOK AT THIS!" There was a long silence in which Cinna and I gave each over worried looks.
"Oh Katniss..."
"Don't you Katniss me! What are we gonna do!?"
"Katniss, calm down! Its okay!"
I decided to go investigate. When I had reached the end of the hall, I knocked on the door.
"Is everything all-right?" I asked, surveying the scene. Mom was sitting on the edge of the bed her face in her hands, while Dad had his arm wrapped around her and in his other had was a official looking doctor's note.
"Finch honey, your mom is going to have a baby." Dad was grinning like a mad man.
What.
"Really?!" I squealed jumping around.
"Yup!" Dad said hugging me.
"Oh my gosh! MOM'S GONNA HAVE A BABY!" I yelled down the hall. The reaction was immediate. Everyone came racing into the bedroom,
"Oh Katniss!" Effie cried embracing Mom.
"Another one?" Haymitch sighed.
"I thought you were stopping after one!" Johanna laughed, and lightly punched Dad's arm
"How you feeling?" 'Aunt' Annie handed Mom a glass of water, "maybe you should skip the Feast tonight, it might upset the baby."
"No! I can't! I can't miss the Feast! I didn't come all the way from District 12 to let some baby make me skip it." Mom moaned.
Well, things just got complicated.

One Hour Later


"Oh Finch you look lovely!" Helena gasped when I was finally dressed. I looked at myself in the mirror, and had to admit I did look nice. I was wearing the Mellark signature Fire Dress with a blood red sleeveless wrap on top that belted round my waist with a gold belt. My hair was down and flowed in dramatic waves down to the back of my knees (I've never had a haircut :P).
"Thanks! But look at you!" Helena was dressed in a purple gown with blue accents. Her strawberry blonde braid was weaved with purple gems that glistened with her every move.

"Aw thank you!" Helena twirled around giggling "but Niall is going be head over heels when he sees you on fire!"
"Not true!" Why was I blushing? "lets go see if Mom needs anything."
As we hurried down the hall to Mom and Dad's bedroom we heard a odd squeaking noise from behind.  We whirled around to find Niall standing behind us, his mouth open in mock shock.
"Told you so." Helena whispered.
"What are you looking at?" I crossed my arms.
"Two of the most beautiful girls in Panem are standing in front of me. What do you think I'm looking at!" Helena and I laughed as he offered his arm to each of us. We were 'escorted' down to the hall were Mom was getting ready.
"This is women's work. See you at the feast!" Niall waved us in. Mom was sitting on the edge of her bed still in her pajamas, fingering her fiery dress.
"Mom? Are you okay?" I said softly settling down net to her. Helena sat on a chair by the door awkwardly watching the scene.
Mom didn't look fine at all. Her face was a delicate shade of green, and her eyes had bags underneath.
"Oh yes, I'm fine. I'm just gonna go use the toilet." Mom got up and began to walk towards the bathroom. I gave Helena a worried look as the door clicked behind her. Suddenly there was a bang. I raced to the bathroom door and flung it open to find Mom unconscious lying eagle spread on the hard cold orange and pink tiles.
"MOM!" I screamed.
